Our Food is mostly sourced locally from the “Garden that is Derbyshire”, we also source “Best in class”.
The majority of our herbs, salds and vegetables are grown on site in our very own Polytunnel by our full time gardener
Fresh Fish is a signature here, it is delivered fresh daily from the market. Fish, Chips and Mushy Peas to Lobster Thermidor, Seabass, Scallops, the list goes on - the menu changes daily when the daily catch arrives. The specialist seafood for our Fish Counter comes from all over the UK; Shrimps from Lytham; Lobster and Crab from Anglesy.
The welcome return of Head Chef Neil McCan has brought great feedback. Neil was with us when we were Highly Commended in the Derbyshire food awards Bistro of the Year Category and has recently been working with a 2 Michelin Star chef.
Neil and his team are happy to work to advance requests for special dishes such as Lobster Thermidore or Chateaubriand
Game dishes are also firm favourites on our menus - Grouse, Pheasant, Rabbit, Quail..... look out for our 'festival weekends'
